Week Thirty-Three: Loser

Who wants to draw, and paint, and make macaroni art, and take funny pictures? Losers, that’s who. Pathetic, pitiful, pasty losers. But if it is losers that wish to make art, than we’ll be the biggest bunch of losers you’ve ever seen. The topic lends itself to many different interpretations, and possibly some self-reference, so the submissions should be fun and interesting.

The video above features one of the biggest losers in cartoon history, Wile E. Coyote. He can never obtain that succulent Road Runner he’s always after, and the outcome is no different in Chuck Jones’ famous Gee Whiz-z-z-z. Jones was a master of comedic timing and minute detail, and the style his artists adopted led to dry desert landscapes representative of the 1960’s American west.

Until next Tuesday, loser.
