Week Twenty-Four: Heartbreak

We decided to take a heavier approach to this week's topic and landed on Heartbreak. It's safe to say that sadness is experienced at some point in everyone's life, and while the feeling may be ubiquitous, the reactions can be very unique.

Here is Pablo Picasso's Weeping Woman, a famous depiction of immediate sorrow and despair. Despite the cubist representation, heartache is easily recognizable on the woman's face through her down turned eyes and mouth, all while she simultaneously wipes her face and holds it in her hands.

Be sure to check back next Tuesday for the results.
